The 2012 International Zinc Conference is the premier zinc event of the year highlighting key industry trends and challenges. The 2012 International Zinc Oxide Industry Conference is being held in conjunction with the International Zinc Conference providing a unique opportunity to learn about new research and market trends. Both conferences offer excellent opportunities for building business relationships and networking with colleagues. *Please note* Due to an overwhelming response, the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa has informed us that they are sold out of hotel rooms, both in our block and altogether, for certain nights during the conference.  If you are having trouble getting a hotel room online, please call the hotel at 1-800-937-8461.  If nothing is available, they will direct you to an alternate hotel, the Aqua Caliente, who has agreed to offer hotel rooms at the same rate.  The Aqua Caliente is less than two miles from the Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa.  To make reservations at the Aqua Caliente directly, please call 1-888-999-1995 and ask to speak to reservations, or visit their website at http://www.hotwatercasino.com.

Travel Information

1. We encourage attendees to utilize the closest airport to the hotel, the Palm Springs Municipal Airport (PSP). Travel distance is approximately nine miles with a $25.00 cab ride.

2. Advance reservations for taxis are recommended. Please contact Yellow Cab at 760-641-0955.  There is no hotel shuttle service from the airport.

3. Amtrak to Indio, CA station is 10 miles from the hotel.

4. There is complimentary self parking at the hotel.  Valet parking overnight (up to 24 hours) is $7.00 with in-and-out privileges.

Travel Discount with American Airlines

A discount agreement has been arranged with American Airlines and is valid February 15-26, 2012 for travel to PSP, LAX, LAX-BUR, ONT or SNA.  Attendees will receive a 5% discount off the lowest applicable published airfare by using the promotion code 5722BL.

The percentage discount can be booked online at www.AA.com for American Airlines and American Eagle flights only (choose More Flight Search Options and insert the promotion code in the appropriate box).  Itineraries involving any oneworld or codeshare partner airline must be booked through AA’s Meeting Services Department at 800-433-1790 if calling from the U.S. and Canada.  International attendees should call their local American Airlines reservations number with the above Promotion code.  A ticketing service fee will apply for reservations made via the phone or in person at an AA counter.
